The Weekly Loop

The loop is simple. Friday forces the work into the open. Everyone demos. The Monday walks give the cohort time to argue, rethink, and pick a direction. Tuesday and Wednesday are for talks, workshops, and building. Thursday has no agenda.

The loop runs in Weeks 01–03 and 05–06. Week 04 is a break week: time to breathe before coming back to build and ship.

The Weekly Loop
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
— Will Durant
Every habit and faculty is preserved and increased by correspondent actions, as the habit of walking, by walking; of running, by running.
— Epictetus

Monday Movement

Monday morning starts with the captain’s talk, followed by a walk. People mix naturally, conversations get longer, and half-formed ideas get tested before they harden into plans. The cohort also lines up topics for Tuesday talks and Wednesday workshops.

Tuesday Talks

Tuesday is for talks. Some are technical. Some are philosophical. The point is to put ideas in front of other smart people and see what survives.

Wednesday Workshops

Wednesday is practical. People teach the tools they know, then everyone goes back to building with them.

Thursday: Time Off

Thursday has no formal agenda. Rest, explore the island, follow an idea, or work on something at your own pace.

Friday: Demo Day

Friday is Demo Day. Everyone gets six minutes to show what they built and two minutes for discussion. Afterwards, the captain hands over to the next captain, and people eat and talk.
